publicada en el año 2006 por la editorial La
Serpiente Emplumada.
La novela gira alrededor de la idea que el
destino, el amor y la suerte se encuentran
entrelazados. El personaje principal, Tomás (el
autor nunca revela su apellido), cree estar
destinado a una existencia de amor después de
que su abuela le entrega una trilogía de fechas
que se supone esconden eventos cruciales de su
vida. Está convencido que el amor lo encontrará
en esos días, y sus acciones para cada uno de
ellos varía de acuerdo a los diferentes períodos
de su vida. Tomás finalmente se aliena como
consecuencia de su deseo de ser devorado por el
amor.
Tomás conoce a Cristina cuando sólo tiene diez
años de edad, y su abuela, que se hizo cargo de
él tras la muerte de sus padres, predice que la
jovencita que conoció le traerá gran sufrimiento
a lo largo de su vida. Años después su abuela
muere, dejando una hoja de papel que contiene
tres fechas futuras, y firmada: “Tomás”. Él se
obsesiona con los tres días y comienza a planear
su existencia con ellos en mente.
Toda su vida transcurre alrededor de la gran
pasión de su supuesto destino y Cristina, su
amor épico. Cristina es intensamente inteligente
y racional, pero al mismo tiempo tan compleja,
que el romántico y estoico Tomás no la puede
alcanzar. Su lucha consiste en conquistar tanto
a Cristina como a los tres días que su abuela le
dejó. Finalmente, cuando ya ha envejecido,
Cristina acepta casarse con él dando una fecha
al azar para el matrimonio, que resulta ser el
tercer día. El epílogo muestra que los días
escritos en el pedazo de papel realmente estaban
escritos para Cristina.

The novel revolves around the idea that destiny,
love and luck seem to be intertwined. The main
character, Tomás (the author never reveals his
last name), believes himself to be destined for
an existence of love after his grandmother gives
him a trilogy of dates which supposedly hold
crucial events for his life. He is convinced
that love will find him on those dates, and his
actions for each day vary accordingly to
different periods in his life. Tomás is
ultimately alienated by his desire to be
engulfed by love.
Tomás meets Cristina at the beach when he is
only ten years old, and his grandmother, who
took him under her wing after his parents died,
predicts that the young lady he met will bring
him great suffering throughout his life. Years
later, his grandmother passes away, leaving
behind a piece of paper containing three future
dates, and signed: “Tomás”. He becomes obsessed
with the dates and begins planning his existence
with them in mind.
All his life revolves around the passion of his
supposed destiny and Cristina, his epic love.
Cristina is intensely intelligent and rational,
but at the same time so complex, that the
romantic and stoic Tomás cannot reach her. His
struggle involves trying to conquer both
Cristina and those days left behind by his
grandmother. Finally, when he is of age,
Cristina accepts to marry him, randomly giving
the third day as the date for their marriage.
The epilogue shows that the dates on the piece
of paper were really meant for Cristina.
